About Saeed Kargar
My name is Saeed Kargar and I hold a MSc degree in microbial biotechnology from the University of Tehran, which is considered the best university in Iran according to the US News.
My Master’s dissertation was entitled “Design and Manufacture of a laboratory-scale membrane bioreactor suitable for producing secondary metabolites by filamentous fungi.” This interdisciplinary project was an investigation of lovastatin production by Aspergillus terreus in a membrane gradostat bioreactor that consisted of two main sections: (I) Synthesis of alumina nanofibers and asymmetric capillary membrane with polysulfone, and (II) Evaluation of the amount of lovastatin production on different feed strategies.
After graduation, I worked in a biotech company as a talented student for three years instead of serving in the military. This allowed me to gain good practical and theoretical knowledge in molecular biology and cell culture. During this period, I worked digital marketing maneger.
Subsequent to the aforementioned period, to pursue my aspirations, I dedicated quality time to improving my English language proficiency and took the IELTS certification, scoring an overall 6.5.
